Effortless Body: Core Strengthening Exercises and Movement Education

Mondays, ongoing, 9:00–10:00 a.m.

A series of 25+ floor exercises designed to exercise the entire body focusing on the smaller, deeper muscles. For 20 years Suzanne has been working with small groups and individuals. She uses balance as a point of reference as she adjusts students for each exercise. This process gently pops students out of theircurrent patterns and integrates a new way of being. This is pattern-changing work that makes it possible for anybody to identify what is obstructing them from standing with ease or moving with ease, to melt the obstruction (rigidity), and replace it with suppleness, strength, length, and a greater range of motion.

Tai Chi & Qigong for Natural Health

Fridays, on-going, 10:00 – 11:00 AM, Summer class schedule will vary; please contact instructor before attending.

Come breathe, move, and play with fundamental techniques of self-healing. This class will be seriously fun, as we stimulate every cell in our bodies for detoxification, loosen all the joints for mobility, and improve the flow of Qi (life energy) in our meridian system. You will learn all the major organ meridians and the 18 most important acupressure points. We will flow with an easy five-minute Qigong Tai Chi style that improves balance and coordination, and harmonizes our energy with the Universe; we may even advance to levitation depending on group willingness. We’ll finish each class with quiet standing or sitting to allow integration and healing of body-mind-spirit energies.

Come breathe, move, and play with fundamental techniques of self-healing.

Sundays, ongoing, 8:30 a.m.–10:00 a.m.

We begin each class with warm-up exercises and qigong breathing. New students learn the Tai Chi Chu’an form at their own pace, and are individually taught. Long-time students practice the set together, and also learn weapon sets and shaolin. Instructor Ellen Serber was trained by Sifu Kuo Lien Ying, who in 1978 certified her to teach. Ellen is assisted by Celeste Woo and Barbara Cellers.
