SHIVA SHAKTI'S DARK NIGHT
Celebrating Dia de los Muertos through the dance and music of India. Evoking the energies of Mictecacihuatl, the Lady of Death through Shiva, the Benevolent Destroyer, and Kali, the Fierceful Shakti, we will honor Death as a  welcoming cycle of Rebirth. With Barbara Framm and Nubia Teixeira performing Odissi (Indian Temple dance); Jai Uttal singing devotional songs. We invite you to bring a small offering for a community altar
(fruit, flowers, pictures, etc.)

Chromatic harmonica whiz Damien Masterson, with Rick Heizman, guitar, and Robert Schwartz, piano, present beloved Classical, Operatic, American & South American melodies and humorous tales about the “harp” - Mozart, Handel, Wagner, Verdi, Puccini, Bizet, Sousa, Joplin, Gershwin, Bizet, Kachaturian...and much more!  Hailed as “a certified treasure” by Jazz Times, “exceptional” by Latin Beat,
“remarkable” by the SF Bay Guardian.

HOUSTON JONES BAND: HIGH-OCTANE AMERICA
Houston Jones, described as a "wonderful gem of a band" in Billboard.com, will be performing their original blend of folk, blues, bluegrass and gospel. The quintet features the wizardry of guitarist Glenn Houston on acoustic and electric guitar, Henry Salvia on keyboard and accordion, the honky-tonk vocals and guitar of Travis Jones, Chris Kee on upright bass and acoustic guitar, and Peter Tucker on drums and percussion.

DANCE PALACE PIANO CONCERT SERIES: JEAN ALEXIS SMITH
A West Marin native, pianist Jean Alexis Smith holds a Bachelor of Music degree from The Julliard School and a Master of Music degree from Stanford University. Her versatile career as a concerto soloist, chamber musician, and recitalist has taken her to such venues as the Library of Congress, Lincoln Center, and the Palace of Legion of Honor. She will be performing works by Beethoven, Chaminade, and others.  “The Chopin Nocturnes are performed with exquisite sensitivity in a true Romantic style. It is a feast for the ears.”

THE DANCE PALACE KIDS MUSICAL THEATRE PROGRAM PRESENTS THE UNIVERSE AND OTHER STUFF 
The Universe and Other Stuff is a hip-hop, happenin’ history lesson presenting a fresh perspective as to who, what, where, when, and how this crazy planet and its people came to be. The show features West Marin
children ages 6–14, and is directed by Laura Alderdice. This program is made possible in part
through a grant from the Bill Graham Foundation.
Friday and Saturday, November 21 and 22, 7:30 p.m.; Sunday, November 23, 4 p.m.
